On the evening of Monday May 16th finalists, high-profile industry experts and innovative edie Live exhibitors all came together for a unique networking experience at one of the highest accolades for sustainability and energy efficiency in the corporate sphere.

The National Motorcycle Museum was at full capacity the 17th edition of the edie Environment & Energy Awards which recognise and celebrate advancements in green technologies; excellence in onsite energy, water and resource management strategies and individuals driving change in organisational sustainability.

Arbor were one of just seventy-five finalists – including multinational organisations, industry consultants and energy professionals. These were whittled down by the panel of E&E Awards judges to 13 separate winners.

Arbor Heat and Power were a finalist in the running for the Onsite Energy Generation Award and with their huge contribution to the growth of the innovative biogas CHP sector they had hoped this would secure them the award. Unfortunately, they were pipped to the post by the National Trust that had committed £13M to renewable energy generation.

A disappointing result for the team at Arbor but the recognition to even be a finalist in these national awards demonstrates the large impact a relatively small company that Arbor is has made over the last couple years.

Nick McDowall, Business Development Manager commented after the event “It is a shame not to have come away with the award but we are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist and this is a testament to the strides we have made in this sector. Hopefully next year we can go one step better!”
