C2C2C stands for Castle to Coast to Castle and it is a 100 mile charity cycle ride across Lincolnshire from Lincoln Castle to the sea at Chapel St. Leonards and back again.

The first event was held in 2011, with just 79 people taking part. As the event has grown so have the number of participants with this year’s riders well in excess of 500. The ride is held on a weekday and aims to get local business men and women out of the office and onto their bikes whilst raising money for charity. Excluding the contributions from this year’s ride that are still being totalled, the C2C2C event has raised over £44,000 for local charities to date.

This year, Arbor Heat and Power representatives Harry Edwards and Nick McDowall took on the challenge and donned their lycra and crisp new branded jerseys.

Not satisfied with the standard 100 mile route, ride organisers decided to introduce an optional extra loop that took the total mileage to 122 and climbing to over 5000 feet for the day. Not ones to pass up a challenge team Arbor took on the longer and lumpier route and acquitted themselves commendably.

Well done to the both of them.
